Professor Zhang’s research focuses on Computational Geometry, Mesh Generation, Computer Graphics, Visualization, Biomedical and Biological Imaging, Finite Element Analysis, Isogeometric Analysis, Scientific Computing and their applications in Computational Medicine, Computational Biology, and Engineering. Researchers in Professor Zhang’s group develop new algorithms on biomodeling at molecular, cellular, tissue and organ scales, and explore applications in various application fields.
